CLONG Volontariat

Established in 1979, the CLONG Volontariat brings together 14 associations of Volunteering sending to mission of international solidarity in developing countries outside the European Union.

Place of exchange and reflection on issues of voluntary international solidarity and human resources expatriate NGO, the CLONG allows its members to maintain a permanent dialogue and consultation with the government.

Originally based around the Volunteering for International Development and Humanitarian Action Programme, the work of CLONG has allowed fundamental advances in the official recognition of this kind of volunteering including the adoption of the Law of 23 February 2005, which defines and improves this status.

Today, the group has expanded its thinking and activities to different forms of expatriation exchange actions and international solidarity (volunteers, staff, volunteers).
